I was speaking to the boyfriend (a photographer) about this post and about a book he's reading, The Concept of Non-Photography by Francois Laurelle and this quote, in particular, which is long and hefty, but nonetheless interesting.

Sigh. Beautiful account of the discussion in class. At this point I would name this writing towards a horizon (the writer/walker, the writing/walking and the horizon) as a process that is akin to desire. In both the Buddhist sense (insert suffering) and in the Psychoanalytic sense. In desire/love as it comes in reading Lacan and Barthes.
